Interview on VoeVeo

You can see the interview at http://www.voeveo.com/forums/Producers/d'agostino/3898

here's also a transcription:

Where are you from in the US and why do you live there?
I live worldwide, now I'm based in New York, as to me NY represents a very interesting mix of cultures and creative people; I felt in love with NY since the first time I went there to perform for Move*ment Inc. during the summer of 1999, I had immediately embraced the productive atmosphere of Lower East Side and the cozy environment of Brooklyn.

Apart from loading up unique ringtones and sci-fi inspired video on voeveo, what else do you do?
Producing and performing are the core of my life and work, any kind of medium (video, music, photography, etc.) are the technical tools that allows to 'capture' the performances and the thoughts I produce (close to the relation between the writing process and a philosopher following the vision of G. Deleuze). I truly love to collaborate with artists that are from different cultural backgrounds then mine, as it represents for me a form of traveling (maybe the best way to learn and grow as human being).

What inspires your work?
Life is my best inspiration, I really do my best to embrace a message of peace and knowledge in my work, as spectator I personally love any kind of art that is educative, passionate and fun to experience, something that it has been lost in the last decade when everything seems to be forced to fit into a classical-system of rules, art included.

What's kind of mobile phone do you have and why do you like it?
NOKIA , but I'm gonna buy an iPhone as soon as it will be available, I like the touch pad and the possibility of having Google Earth and Yahoo on a mobile phone.

When you're not in the office what are you doing?
If I'm not in a music studio, in an art gallery setting up an exhibition, or on a movie set I simply hang out with friends or read books. It's difficult for me to say what is the difference between studio life and personal life, as when I'm in the studio I produce and encode the events that happen in my personal life.

What's at the top of your playlist right now?
It's a long playlist and changes every 2/3 days ... 'Double life' by Armando Corsi, and my EP 'the Mistrel & the Princess' soon released by Elec Trip Records.

Who are some of your favourite Producers on voeveo?
Anika Moa and Marcus T
