The salon follows the Dublin premier of 'A Sliver of Voice' ('Un Hilo De Voz'), the experimental musical show by the Buenos Aires performer Maia Monaco and composer Guillermo Pesoa, to be performed in the Project Arts Centre at 1:00 pm (tickets are €7/€5).
The salon will feature musical performances of Pesoa's new solo work on piano and accordion, and with vocalist Maia Monaco, in dialogue with the international styles and sounds of Italian and Irish special guests, in an intimate and relaxed environment.Pesoa's new compositions fuse elements of traditional Argentinian styles such as chamamé, tango and cumbia with a unique and melancholic sound all his own. As part of the group 'Pequeña Orquesta Reincidentes', Pesoa has released eight albums and received multiple awards in his native Argentina, and played at the Spiegeltent during the 2006 Dublin Fringe Festival.
Special guests performing on the night include Robotnik, Maria Tecce, pianist Alberto Gariglio and Julyo and the Photosonic Orchestra.
